The main Exhibition in amusement industry of Russia and the CIS- the 12th International Exhibition “Amusement Rides and Entertainment Equipment RAAPA SHOW 2010” took place with great success in Moscow, Russia, on March 17-19, 2010 in Pavilion 69 of All Russian Exhibition Center (VVTs).

The Exhibition “Amusement Rides and Entertainment Equipment RAAPA SHOW” every year gathers amusement industry specialists from all regions of Russia, the CIS and many foreign countries. Despite the difficult economic situation in the country and in the world Russian and foreign manufacturers don’t lose interest in Russian amusement market. More than 130 companies took part in the exhibition, including more than 30 foreign companies-manufacturers from 20 countries of the world: Italy, Germany, the UK, Japan, India, Spain, Belgium, Poland, Taiwan, China, Switzerland, Austria, Turkey, Belarus, Ukraine and others.

The participation in the exhibition “RAAPA SHOW 2010” of world famous company SEGA - the manufacturer of video games, simulators, redemption machines, crane-machines and other entertainment equipment - was a good news for the visitors. Also, at SEGA’s booth there was XD theatre of SEGA’s partner, Canadian company Triotech.
According to the opinions of the participants of the exhibition “RAAPA SHOW 2010” they set new business contacts, specified the demand in the changing situation on the market. New market conditions make their own requirements to playing and entertaining equipment and the customer expects the profitable offers and high quality service from the manufacturers’ side.
As no other kind of marketing activity, exhibition – is also a specialized business program with the participation of leading experts and discussion of modern development technologies of entertainment business, its possibilities and prospects in Russia.
For the participants the exhibition “RAAPA SHOW 2010” has become the business platform, which not only represents the modern entertainment equipment and amusement rides but gives the opportunity to value the directions of amusement industry further development. It is significant that the exhibition also favored the salvation of such tasks as sale of the equipment, personal communication with the clients, investigation of the market, extension of public relations and completing the partnership agreements.
The exhibition “RAAPA SHOW 2010” is a unique range of offers and a variety of topics: amusement rides (park rides, inflatables , water rides etc); playing machines and imitators, cinemas, entertainment equipment, bowling, paint-ball, shooting galleries, equipment for the public recreation areas and entertainment centers: kiddie and sport grounds; tourism and sport; electro and velo-carts, carting and dodgem fields, equipment for water-parks and swimming pools, landscape design, fountains, landscape equipment, and also many other products being used for entertainment and leisure.
The conference”Modern trends in the development of the entertainment market in Russia” took place within the frames of the exhibition. About 70 directors of amusement parks and FECs, specialists from 43 Russian cities – from Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kiev, Omsk, Irkutsk, Kemerovo, Vladivostok, Alma- Ata, Ishinbay, Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Lipetsk, Saratov, Tashkent, Surgut, Sterlitamak, Ussuriysk and others took part in the work of the conference and seminars. Our colleagues from Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan took part in the conference. This year the specialists from Germany, the USA and Italy also participated at the conference as the speakers. The participants of the conference got the wide review of the international and Russian amusement market. In addition, BUSINESS-TRAINING on the topic “Creation and operation of modern family entertainment centers” was successfully held, during which there was review and solution of specific cases for new an existing family entertainment centers.
About 130 exhibitors’ booths were offered to the attention of the audience, the total area of the exposition was about 5000 square meters.
The informational support was offered by the Russian magazines: “Attractions and Entertainments”, “SportAcademReklama”, “KIR” (The Amusement Industry Catalogue)”, “Prazdnik”, and also the biggest foreign editions: “Park World”, “Games and Parks”, “Kirmes and Park Review”, “Game Time International”, “InterPark”.
At the end of the first day of the exhibition the reception for the exhibitors and conference participants was held in the restaurant of “Сosmos” Hotel, devoted to the opening of the exhibition and the 15th anniversary of Russian Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (RAAPA). There was a show programme, that got enthusiastic reviews of the participants.
And on the third day, before the closing of the exhibition 40 companies- exhibitors were awarded with anniversary souvenirs “RAAPA DIAMONDS” forlong-term participation in the exhibition. And also there was solemn awarding the diplomas “RAAPA 2010” to all the exhibition participants. More than 3000 specialists attended the exhibition during three days of it’s work, and among them there were foreign guests also from: the USA, the UK, Italy, Germany, Spain and many other countries – the specialists of amusement field, the representatives of companies-manufacturers and the suppliers of entertainment equipment.
The specialists unanimously mark high quality of business contacts, obtained at the exhibition: the negotiations were held, the cooperation agreements were signed.
According the opinion of Russian and foreign participants and visitors, the exhibition “RAAPA SHOW 2010” was a great success.
So, for example, among another positive responses of foreign and Russian exhibitors, it is necessary to mention that the General Director of “Triotech” Company Mr Ernest Yale, who exhibited XD theatre at the booth of the company SEGA Amusement Europe, expressed his admiration for the organization of the exhibition, he was pleasantly surprised by the number of visitors and he also said about his intention to participate next year on his own separate booth.
The next International RAAPA Exhibitions will be held:
“RAAPA-Autumn 2010” will be held from October 20-22, 2010 in Moscow, at All-Russia Exhibition Centre (VVTs).
XIII International Exhibition “Amusement Rides and Entertainment Equipment RAAPA SHOW - 2011” will be held from March 16-18, 2011 in Moscow, at All-Russia Exhibition Centre (VVTs).
