On March 23-25, 2011 in Moscow, on the territory of All-Russia Exhibition Center (VVTs), in pavilion 75, the 13th International Exhibition “Amusement Rides and Entertainment Equipment RAAPA EXPO–2011” was held.

The show was organized by Russian Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (RAAPA), with the support of Moscow Government, the Union of Russian Cities and International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA).

Started in 1999 with only 47 exhibitors, the exhibition has been increasing this number every year. This year, about 150 companies from 20 countries, including Britain, Germany, Italy, India, China, Switzerland, Egypt, etc. took part in the exhibition.There were more than 30 new Russian and foreign companies among the exhibitors, including Sunway Manufacturing Limited (China), Zhejiang Kinplay Co., Ltd (China), Hankook Leisure Co., Ltd (South Korea), Total Interactive Technologies (Russia), Simatix, Ltd. (Ukraine), Fusion Game (Russia), International Total Project Solution (I-TPS, Egypt), etc.

The show was attended by more than 5000 specialists from all regions of Russia and many foreign countries. The exhibition space, booked by the exhibitors, was more than 5500 sq.m.

At present, the exhibition “Amusement Rides and Entertainment Equipment RAAPA” has achieved a position of the main show in the amusement industry of Russia and the CIS countries.

Major manufacturers and suppliers of amusement rides and entertainment equipment, including those like the PAX company, RIF Group of Companies, Antonio Zamperla S.P.A. (Italy), Polin Waterparks  and Pool Systems (Turkey), Falgas (Spain), C. and S. SRL (Italy), Brunswick/KidsPlay (USA), KCC Entertainment Design (Belgium), Moser’s Rides (Italy), abc rides switzerland (Switzerland), Eastern-European Company (Belarus) and others, participated in the exhibition.

Several presentations of new attractions and projects took place at the show.For instance, Total Interactive Technologies company presented its new virtual attraction called “Total Cube”, Bolid companyprovided the event called “All-Russian census of amusement rides’ operators”, and so on.

This year, for the first time in Russia, the International ceremony “Golden Pony Awards Moscow-2011” was held within the frames of the exhibition, aiming to recognize a contribution to amusement industry development made by different parks and FECs.

The Union of  Sarov city amusement parks won the contest for the best photo and video materials about the park’s activities, and was awarded with Grand Prix – “Air Hockey” attraction, provided by the sponsor of RAAPA EXPO–2011 – SEGA company.

Within the frames of the exhibition, the conference “Prospects of Entertainment Business in Russia” was held. More than 70 experts from 30 cities of Russia, the CIS and foreign countries – Angarsk, Belgorod, Dubna, Yekaterinburg, Erevan, Zarechny, Izhevsk, Kemerovo, Kursk, Krasnodar, Krasnoyarsk, Makhachkala, Moscow, Nizhnevartovsk etc. – took part in this conference.

Professionals and experts from Russia, Europe, other countries and regions were provided with an opportunity to get an idea of current state of international and Russian entertainment markets, to communicate and share experience with colleagues from different parts of the world.

The information support was provided by Russian magazines: “Attractions and Entertainments”, “KIR”, “Prazdnik”, “SportAcademReklama”, as well as major foreign publications: “Park World”, “Games&Parks”, “Kirmes & Park Review”, “Game Time International”, “Hot Games”.

According to the feedbacks of participants, RAAPA EXPO is:

The next International RAAPA exhibitions will be held:
