The first all-season ski resort in Chechnya will host its visitors at the end of 2017.
By 2021, the resort will occupy the total area of 1100 ha on the northern slope of Daneduk mountain at 3000 meters above the sea level and will offer 19 ski trails with varying degrees of difficulty, the longest one – over 5 km long, as well as a hotel complex and a chalet village in the national architectural style, heated open-air pool, skating rinks, cross-country skiing, snowboard park, outdoor children’s playset, a ski school, rental and service centers, restaurants and cafes. The trails will be services by 8 ropeways and 4 baby-lifts.
The total cost of the project is 32 bln roubles ($540mln), 20% of which is financed by the federal budget. The expected visitor capacity is 4800 pax a day. By 2025, the yearly tourist flow should reach 180 thousand people.
