Just 5 km away from the city of Ryazan, on the territory of the “Okskaya Zhemchuzhina” hotel complex, a brand new theme water park named “Gorki” was recently opened.
The water park theme is a “lost Mediterranean island”. Its total area is 7200 sq.m. It includes two levels: the lower one is designed for adults, and offers 6 extreme water slides and a bunch of amusement rides, two pools, a solarium, a “slow river”, and Jacuzzi. The upper one welcomes kids primarily, and has 4 kiddie water slides, a café for kids, and an artificial “lake” with amusement rides. It is designed to be visited by around 1000 people a day.
The water park was initially designed with thoughtful considerations regarding the regional specifics and strict safety requirements, and is ready to welcome its guests all year round.
According to Elena Tsareva, a deputy chairman of the regional government, the neighbouring regions have no analogues to the “Gorki” water park so far.
The project itself is a part of the Federal program on inner and inbound tourism development on the territory of the Russian Federation. As Elena Tsareva pointed out, it became a good example of private and state partnership. In order to make an investor interested in the development of the business, the expenses of infrastructure development and driveway construction were covered from the federal and regional budgets.
Besides the water park itself, the “Okskaya Zhemchuzhina” hotel complex will also include a hotel and a family entertainment center.
