An amusement park from a childhood dream can become a reality for the residents of Sverdlov region. According to the media, the Sverdlov region Governor Eugeny Kuvaishev has discussed a possibility of a Disneyland-like amusement park construction near the Yekaterinburg-Expo convention center in the city of Yekaterinburg with representatives of DreamWorks company.
While Dreamworks is ready to implement the design project, the region authorities announced the possibility of providing a 100 ha area and communications for it, and invited investors to take part in the project.
Up to now, Russia does not have a theme park anyhow compatible to the best world’s examples. The Ural Disneyland could become the first Russian huge scale project of a kind, and, according to Grigory Mitchin, financial director of one of the travel agencies of the region, also attract a lot of visitors not just from around Ural, but also from all parts of Russia.
Nevertheless, the precise terms of construction of the park and putting it into operation are not reported yet.
